cambodia update #4
Jun 29, 2010
hi all…it’s been challenging for me to find a signal to make blog updates, so make sure to watch Jen’s: http://www.jenmorganonline.com she does a far better job than I do anyway – and she posts photos! Here’s the best story so far… We were asked to help a young lady and her family repair her “home.” I’ll have to give you a more descriptive explanation of where she lives, in person, suffice it to say for now that it is the worst possible conditions imaginable. The worst. And her roof is gone. Each day the afternoon rains saturate all of her home and belongings. We budgeted $400 for the job. We escorted two contractors to the sire for two estimates…$1300 and $1400. We don’t have the funds. Many of us where very discouraged…her need was so great. We talked a lot about finite resources and infinite need. The team was not immediately excited about my idea – the guys will climb up and fix it ourselves! They were concerned – rightly so – about our safety. The structure is unsound and the roof is 20 feet up. You’re going to thin I planned to keep you hanging, but I didn’t…we must leave to start our day…I can’t wait to tell you what happened next…

I was just checking to see if we got the rest of the story yet.
Praying all will go well for the return trip to Ohio.
