By the numbers
Nov 24, 2009
Numbers aren’t everything, but they are something. There’s a T.V. show called Numb3rs. There’s a book in the Bible called Numbers. As a church, we certainly don’t have numbers as our ultimate goals, but numbers often indicate how we might be progressing. So, don’t look too deeply at the following numbers…it’s mostly just fun to think about some of these things!
45 – The number of children we have dedicated in our first 3 years
12 – The percentage of our giving that we have directed into missions
9 – Inches my oldest son has grown in 18 months
450 – Average number of folks worshipping Sunday mornings at Vista (including Kids)
5 – Cows we’ve helped purchase, which help support orphans in Kenya
149 – The total number of sermon’s preached since our kick-off, Jan ‘07
26 – Individuals baptized either by pool, hot tub or Ice Mountain water
1300 – Folks who stopped by last years Christmas program
20 – Smiling children at the Vista Orphanage in Cambodia
6 – Venues at which we’ve held Vista services in our first 3 years
64 – Days until our next trip to Cambodia
100 – Degree (percentage) of confidence we have that God wants to use us to change the world
I could go on, but why should I have all the fun? You think of some from your world!

2 trips to Cambodia in 2009 = 144 hours of travel
every hour worth those 20 smiling faces and hugs!
365 days a year, I thank God for my church!
